Intro
The tracks on this album were never recorded with the intention that they be released, together, as an album. Several were recorded without any intention that they would, ever, be released at all.
This album is, on the face of it, a haphazard and eclectic collection of demos ... and a few live recordings. The fact is though that it's a haphazard and eclectic collection that a lot of people have felt, for a long while, ought to be widely-available.
CASE history
Back when they were all a lot younger, CASE were notorious more than they were famous.
There are numerous stories circulating about things that did and didn't happen at gigs, in studios, and in musty little rehearsal rooms in a number of the less-fashionable parts of London and the Home Counties.
Where to get it
The album will be released on 7th November 2011 CD, vinyl, and as digital downloads.
The first (but by no means the only) place to look for details of how to do this is via the CASE page on the Damaged Goods web site. Ian at Damaged Goods seems to have done a particularly good job with the distribution side of things and the individual tracks and album are available on loads of download sites and "all good record stores".
30 Years in the Making ...
... this album has got a lot of old stuff on it, and it's probably fair to say that some of it has matured, more like a cheese than a wine.
If some of it sounds dated, it's because it is.
